Site Leader - BTC Site Leaders are the primary point-of-contact between tutors and the site/school partner. They are also the primary point-of-contact between tutors and Annenberg and Swearer staff. Site Leaders are responsible for scheduling tutors (in coordination with the BTC Student Coordinator and the site), relaying necessary materials from the site to tutors, and ensuring compliance with all site-specific and BTC protocols. Communicates with tutors about the start and end of each semester and scheduling updates. There is typically one Site Leader per site, unless the site has more than 10 tutors. Site Leaders will maintain the site-specific BTC Slack channel for regular communication with tutors.
School contact - site leaders will be in touch with the designated school contact regarding scheduling. School contact will be in touch with site leader, Dilania and Aarav regarding curriculum materials. Behind-the-scenes, we work with our school contacts to identify target content areas and student groupings, monitor progress, and provide program analysis.
Kaushal (BTC Student Coordinator - kaushal_krishnamurthy@brown.edu) - supports the efforts of the Engagement and Partnerships Assistant Director at the Annenberg Institute (Aarav) and the Senior Manager of Community Partnership at the Swearer Center for Public Service (Dilania) in their management of Brown Tutoring Corps members. Kaushal is the first point of contact for site leaders, and supports recruitment, scheduling and logistics across BTC and maintains tutor status on the BTC Hub.
Dilania (Senior Manager of Community Partnership at the Swearer Center for Public Service - dilania_inoa@brown.edu)- Manages recruitment, training, eligibility compliance, and tutor leadership development. Dilania is the main point of contact for site leaders for support beyond logistics and scheduling (i.e. troubleshooting, preparation etc.).
Aarav (Engagement and Partnerships Assistant Director at the Annenberg Institute - aarav@brown.edu) - oversees partnerships with schools and district leaders, program design, delivery and evaluation. Works with Principals and Site Administrators to develop site-specific program plans. Point of contact for schools, and for tutors or site leaders with program or partnership questions.
