Welcome back to campus! We hope you had a restorative summer and that you’re settling into routines.
We are excited for this year of Brown Tutoring Corps, to understand our work in deeper ways and maximize impact. Staff and site leaders have been connecting with our site partners to coordinate target areas and goals for tutoring this year, and we are eager to re-engage you across our 12 sites!
To ensure you’re an “active” tutor again this semester:
- Go to the BTC Hub to confirm your information and commitment, and update your schedule for Fall Semester. While you’re there, check out some of the Hub’s new features and resources. Due date: September 26, 2026.
- Look out for an email from your past Site Leader about your plans for the semester and respond to that message!
- Fall EPD for your required clearances (however, if you attended last Spring, your clearances are still good). Options: Saturdays, September 12th, 19th or 26th from 1-3:30pm at the Swearer Center.
- Required BTC Fall Kickoff, October 3rd. While you are an experienced tutor, attending the training is required so that tutors can learn about new record-keeping, safety protocol, site updates and opportunities to deepen your engagement this year! Site Leaders will be organizing site-specific team building and overviews that will take place that day. October 3, 10-2 for new tutors and 11-2 for returning tutors. Smith-Buannono Hall. Lunch provided!
