All BTC tutors are required to have designated clearances completed prior to
their engagement. The Swearer Center hosts EPDs every fall and spring semester to help you through the required clearance process– these drop-in days allow you to complete your requirements all in one go, which takes about 20 minutes. These clearances are valid for one year, so returning tutors must also attend EPD*. For detailed information, please check out the Handbook. No appointment needed; drop in when you can during the following specified times:
- Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 1 pm - 3:30 pm
- Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 1pm - 3:30 pm
- Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 1pm - 3:30 pm
Required EPDs are held at the Swearer Center (located at the corner of Stimson/Hope)
- Bring your government-issued ID (i.e. passport, driver's license, state ID)
- Bring a laptop or smartphone if you have one.
*If you are a returning tutor or participated in EPD in January or February 2025 for another program, your clearances are valid for one calendar year. You will receive an email from swearerops@brown.edu verifying this.
